Housing Units in the United States
Drawing on our experience in Germany, we are taking the next step into the U.S. market. We help property owners, developers, and architects make their buildings more efficient to heat and cool.
We support projects from the very beginning – from energy modeling and system design through implementation and long-term operation. We are starting in California, where energy-efficient, climate-friendly building solutions are becoming increasingly important.
A large market in transition
Space heating is one of the largest sources of energy use in American homes. Across the United States, buildings are beginning a major transition toward efficient electric heating and cooling systems, as well as smarter, more modern building technology.
California is leading this transition. The state aims to install six million heat pumps by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. Updated building standards are also expanding the use of heat pumps in single-family homes, multifamily properties, and selected commercial buildings.

This creates an opportunity for Enloc to combine European energy-engineering expertise with a business model designed to significantly reduce upfront investment costs for U.S. property owners.
From energy concept to long-term operation
Energy system modeling and engineering
We model heating and cooling needs using building data, local climate conditions, and expected usage. This enables us to identify the right technologies and system sizes before investment decisions are made.
Our services include:
- Heating and cooling load modeling
- Heat pump and complete system sizing
- Centralized and decentralized domestic hot water concepts
- Hydronic distribution systems
- Radiators, fan coil units, and radiant heating systems
- Integration of heating, cooling, and renewable energy
- Evaluation of new construction and retrofit scenarios
Project Delivery
Depending on the project and the customer’s requirements, Enloc can support the planning and delivery of energy systems in collaboration with qualified local partners.
Our goal is not simply to install equipment. We design systems for energy efficiency, long-term performance, and the specific needs of each building.
Heating & Cooling as a service
Property owners should not always have to finance and operate their own energy infrastructure.
Through our planned Heating & Cooling as a Service model, Enloc U.S. will invest in suitable energy systems, operate them over the long term, and provide heating and cooling as an ongoing service.
For property owners, this can offer:
- Lower upfront investment requirements
- Predictable ongoing costs
- Professional system operation
- Continuous monitoring and optimization
- Access to efficient building technology without having to operate the energy system themselves
Long-term accountability
Our responsibility does not end when a system is installed.
Enloc has extensive experience operating and remotely monitoring energy systems over periods of 15 to 20 years. The resulting operational data helps us identify inefficiencies, refine system settings, and optimize performance throughout the system’s lifecycle.
This combination of engineering expertise and long-term operational accountability sets Enloc U.S. apart from conventional contractors and engineering firms.
Starting where building decarbonization is accelerating
California has committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2045. Efficient electrification of space heating and water heating is a key part of that transition.
The state’s current goals and building standards are creating growing demand for:
- Heat pump systems
- Energy-efficient building retrofits
- Electrified heating and cooling
- Integrated energy planning
- Solutions that reduce upfront investment barriers
- Long-term monitoring and operational optimization
Enloc U.S. is initially focused on California, with plans to expand into additional U.S. regions where demand for energy-efficient, electrified buildings is growing.
Our U.S. Expansion is already underway
Enloc began actively preparing for its operational entry into the U.S. market in July 2025.
Since then, we have taken several important first steps:
- Established a partnership with Silicon Valley Advantage
- Begun preparations to form Enloc U.S.
- Started our first planning and energy-modeling project with Workbench in California
- Signed initial letters of intent with prospective U.S. customers and partners
- Begun discussions with real estate developers about additional projects
- Continued our involvement in German-American market-entry initiatives
Our first projects are helping us adapt the Enloc model to local building codes, customer requirements, and market conditions.
Building a bridge to the U.S. with Silicon Valley Advantage
Silicon Valley Advantage is a California-based accelerator and innovation hub with experience helping international companies enter the U.S. market.
SVA supports Enloc with local market knowledge, business development, and access to an established network of industry experts, partners, and investors.
Together, we are building the foundation for Enloc’s long-term presence in the United States.
Partnering with Workbench in California
Workbench is a California-based real estate development, design, and construction company with experience in sustainable residential and multifamily projects.
As Enloc U.S.’s first pilot customer in the United States, Workbench gives us the opportunity to apply our energy modeling and engineering expertise to the needs of California’s building market.
Our initial collaboration focuses on planning and modeling efficient heating and cooling solutions.
Enloc is not entering the U.S. market with an untested concept
In Germany, we have built a profitable energy business based on engineering expertise, efficient building systems, and long-term operational accountability. We developed this business without external growth capital and gained hands-on experience throughout the full lifecycle of energy infrastructure.
With Enloc U.S., we aim to build on this proven foundation with equity capital—accelerating market entry and scaling the capital-intensive Heating & Cooling as a Service model.
We are currently preparing to establish our U.S. entity and exploring partnerships with institutional and strategic investors.
